Lake Superior is not known for its musky fishery, but the Goulais River (approximately 25 miles north of Sault Saint Marie, Ontario) harbors a local population of muskies. These muskies may spend their summer in Lake Superior, but in spring and early summer, they can be found in the Goulais River.
